There are hundreds of rodeos in the U.S. annually, with the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) sanctioning over 650 events per year. In 2025, the PRCA alone sanctioned 790 events across 37 states. This number doesn't include other professional organizations, such as the Women's Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA), or amateur and local rodeos.
